Due to the issues WoW was having with Shadowsong, I fired up NWN 1 and started replaying the manor with my lvl 5 Wizard.

Took a bit to stop dieing but once I got the hang I found it to be quite a lot of fun.

One thing I did notice is just how badly journal entries are written. I now plan to re-write all the journal entires to make more sense. I will attack some of the quest dialog as well.

What was surprising was that someone joined who i have no idea who it was. They stayed for a length of time as well.

What this all comes down too is that NWN is truly Awesome and I can still have a lot of fun with such a old game.

Just need a fix for gnoll animations + female necks.

Have to make sure I bring my copies of NWN back down with me after the upcoming holiday.

I also have this crazy urge to redo book 1 using only CEP 2.x + patch content. It will be fully scripted to run without any DM and include the missing playable intro sequence that introduces players to the world and the crisis with the undead tower to the west.

Its been haunting my thoughts, ideas of what can be done. Book 1 was made before I understood NWN scripting, so its nothing more than a hack and slash. It could do with a upgrade.

As most of the areas are made, I just have to export them and clean them of any CEP content then re-patch them back in.

Also need to work out some plot with the vampires. So I can still include the bridge gauntlet, if in nerfed form.

well if you're gonna start playing this again i will go out and get the game collection next week. i always wanted to try the manor

Well I've got my copy packed and ready for my return to Christchurch tomorrow. Just need to make sure I have some time after I finish my assignments.
